who knows where i’ll go from here, but i feel a fresh start.
I remember telling one of my friends that my sister was pregnant and how excited I was and he said “I know you’re excited but it’s really not that big of a deal. Everyone does it.” What a false statement.
I always knew birth was a big deal, but it’s a BIG deal. I have a whole new appreciation for motherhood. I couldn’t look at my sister the whole day without tearing up because I was so proud of her, and I felt so lucky to have her as a sister. She’s amazing.
Liz asked me tonight, because she doesn’t have any brothers or sisters and she’s never been close to anyone who has had a child, if I felt an instant love for him. And that’s exactly it. He’s so perfect and such a miracle, it blows my mind.
